Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Weeknd will headline the first Paris edition of Lollapalooza later this year, with Alt-J, Liam Gallagher, Lana Del Rey, Pixies and plenty more on the bill.
Lollapalooza Paris is to take place between July 22nd-23rd at the city’s Hippodrome de Longchamp, joining the main Chicago edition of the event as well as other stagings in Germany, Chile, Brazil and Argentina.
Liam Gallagher’s first summer festival season as a solo artist is growing as this booking adds to other confirmed appearances at Norway’s Bergenfest between June 14th-17th, the Les Ardentes Festival in Belgium on July 9th, and just in the Exit Festival, also in July.
These announcements come in anticipation of his debut solo album which he previously told Metro contains, ‘good songs, good vocals, rock n’ roll, stuff you won’t have to think too much about’.
“I’ve done the Beady Eye thing and that didn’t come off and I thought maybe I’ll just have a break, but I wrote these songs and I thought, ‘what else can I do?’,” he continued.
