Kasabian have been added to the main stage at the Sziget Festival in Budapest between August 9th-16th, expanding their 2017 live reemergence.
Gigs in Australia and Italy are coming up for the band, and they’re newly on the Sziget bill with The Kills, Clean Bandit and Metronomy to name a few, while the A38 tent will host Interpol, The Pretty Reckless, Jagwar Ma and Crystal Fighters among others.
Speaking to Q this month about Kasabian’s next studio album, Serge Pizzorno revealed how a spell away from the grind helped him take the recording to a new plain upon his return.
“In May the record was done, but I’d never had any time off so I thought, ‘You know what? I’m going to have the summer off for the first time in my life’,” he said (via NME). “It was incredible. I got married, went on holiday for ages and just lived a bit. When I came back in September I decided to graffiti over everything. I’d done everything on an acoustic for the first time and had these beautiful, crafting tunes but started graffiting over the lot, just taking it to another level.”
