Must be about time for another anniversary…step up The View.

The band will hark back to 2007 when their debut album Hats Off To The Buskers carried them to the front line of the era’s indie commercial boom, and in doing so saddled the band as ‘The Scottish Arctic Monkeys’ along with various other spurious tags. It’ll be four nights at Kings Tuts in Glasgow between February 19th-22nd which marks the occasion, tickets are on sale today.

It was Wasted Little DJs, still surely comfortably The View’s magnum opus, which had first set the ball rolling in the summer of 2006, going Top 20 in the UK at a time when any mildly catchy indie track seemed to be doing the same. This single had a sharper edge to it though, and further hits Superstar Tradesman and particularly Same Jeans helped the debut LP on its way to number one in the UK a decade ago.

Tour dates:

FEBRUARY
19, 20, 21, 22 – Glasgow, King Tuts
