Man & The Echo are continuing down the road to their self-titled debut album with the release of a promo for Operation Margarine.

Out on Friday, the LP is due to be toured in full around the UK soon enough, but will make do with shows at Hi-Fi in Leeds on November 17th, Sebright Arms in London on the 22nd, Manchester’s Soup Kitchen on the 23rd and a BBC Introducing gig at the Cavern in Liverpool on the 30th before then.

A theme for the video took some working through, but the band are happy with the results even if no-one else is: “We did a video in a proper studio on dead smart cameras with a director and everything, but it just wasn’t us, we looked like a bunch of dicks, so we got together a few days later to make an alternative.”

“The label wanted us to do something simple, so we decided to do a 3 minute romantic comedy about the love between a man and his margarine. They’re letting us release it anyway.”
