Drenge will continue their return to the live stage these past couple of months with a pair of UK shows not long before Christmas.

The Loveless duo have booked gigs at Cardiff’s Clwb Ifor Bach on December 18th and the Forum in Tunbridge Wells on December 19th, new material probably on show again after the hometown showcase of work in succession to last year’s Undertow album at Sheffield’s Rocking Chair venue in September.

A ‘masterclass in alluring menace’ is how we described Undertow, ultimately one of Live4ever’s top releases of 2015:

“Instead, this is their own personal challenge, a record of hideous beauty and power, the sound of a very fresh and deep wound on display to the world, as on the stunning ‘Standing In The Cold‘.”

“They have written something personal, a batch of songs that speak openly and honestly about issues that don’t just affect them, but actively hurt them. This feels less like catharsis and more like self-harm, these wounds are still very raw.”
