Tickets for The Courteeners‘ gig at the Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground in Manchester on May 27th with The Charlatans, Blossoms and Cabbage in support have gone on sale today.
It’s comfortably the biggest date announced by the band behind their new album Mapping The Rendezvous, which frontman Liam Fray has previously described as being packed with their ‘best’ and ‘sexiest’ set of songs yet. “Last year was unreal, the biggest and best we’ve ever had,” he said.
“Now we’re back again to show that you don’t have to be perfect to be loved and that lost causes are the ones most worth sticking with.”
“We’ve finally finished our best (and dare I even suggest, sexiest) set of songs ever so get ready to unleash your inner Danny Zuko and prepare to be (at least mildly) impressed.”
