New Music Guide highlights this week are BlackWaters.
Guildford-based BlackWaters consists of 18-year-olds Max Tanner (vocals), David Carpenter (guitar), Ollie Franklin (bass) and James Watkins (drums), who have launched their first official single So Far Out, produced by Carl Barat of The Libertines. “So Far Out is about how restricted we are when it comes to having a say in things”, says Max. “We can’t control anything that happens outside our friendship group really. No one can.”
