Jamie T was one of the guests as Later…With Jools Holland continued on the BBC last week.

Appearing along side the other acts Gallant, Madness, The Divine Comedy, Beth Orton and Rag N Bone Man, he aired ‘Power Over Men‘ live on the show, taken from his latest album ‘Trick‘.

It looks like any hopes fans might have had for an Oasis reunion of sorts at the Supersonic premiere next month have been dashed.

The possibility of Liam and Noel Gallagher appearing together in public for the first time since Oasis split in 2009 was always a remote possibility, but the London premiere of the documentary did at least spark the chance of throwing the estranged brothers together on October 2nd.

Fatboy Slim and Mystery Jets will be helping to celebrate ten years of Oxjam next month.

The tenth anniversary of the volunteer-led music series is to be kicked off by Fatboy Slim in Dalston, London on October 3rd, starting hundreds of gigs across the UK.

Slaves have wasted little time in giving us another video from their new album ‘Take Control‘, this one featuring producer Mike D.

‘Consume or Be Consumed’ is out ahead of the LP release date of September 30th, featuring the Beastie Boys legend who helmed sessions for the successor to last year’s ‘Are You Satisfied?‘ debut.

Reverend & The Makers‘ winter acoustic tour is to resume for a further three shows in December.

After the November run ends at the Coventry Copper Rooms, the band will take a few weeks off before starting it all again at the Bristol Thekla on December 14th, playing Nottingham Rescue Rooms and the London Oslo during the next two evenings.

A box of ten 180g vinyls entitled ‘The Mono Collection‘ will offer up The Kinks‘ first eight albums and more later this year.

The set takes us from the band’s trailblazing early rock and roll, epitomised by the ‘You Really Got Me‘ single, through to the start of Ray Davies‘ for-better-or-worse conceptual, flamboyant songwriting progression.

James will be in Wolverhampton and Sheffield immediately before their joint gig with The Charlatans in December.

Shows at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall on December 7th and Sheffield’s O2 Academy on December 9th fall in line behind The Charlatans ‘One Night Only’ gig at Liverpool Echo Arena on December 10th.
