A touring spree which has encompassed headline dates and support shows with Courtney Barnett, The Maccabees, Manic Street Preachers and Mumford & Sons since the release of  ‘West Kirby County Primary‘ last year will continue for Bill Ryder-Jones with two more UK shows in November.

After the ‘Three Ring Circus’ event with Richard Hawley and John Grant – when the trio each play gigs at three different Sheffield venues on the same night in October – Ryder-Jones will head to New Brighton and Manchester as winter takes a hold.

We caught the former Coral guitarist on the touring trail when he visited Leeds back in March; “This actions-speak-louder-than-words aesthetic is a little hard to process, but finds the perfect cypher with the night’s last song, the strobing ‘Two To Birkenhead‘.”

“As if any destination could prompt the genius couplet, “they say that desperate times call for desperate pleasures”, the whether and why are quickly forgotten as the song itself builds to an overloaded, out of control finish which proves that like all great things, a boss sentiment can be bent and twisted but it still won’t break.”
