The entire Beck back catalogue, apart from ‘Morning Phase‘, is being reissued on vinyl starting next month.
Putting some hard-to-find LPs in wider vinyl circulation, the re-release series begins with ‘Odelay‘, ‘Sea Change‘ and ‘Guero‘ on October 28th, ‘Mellow Gold‘, ‘Mutations‘, ‘Midnight Vultures‘, ‘The Information‘ and ‘Modern Guilt‘ next in the queue at a later date.
A brand new album is also expected in October, influenced by Talking Heads and The Strokes according to an interview he gave to Rolling Stone.
“It’s a summer night, people have their hands up,” he said. “It’s a communal, celebratory thing. I wanted to take that into the studio, a kind of energy or joy. The thing that wakes you up a little bit.”
