Slaves have got their reassuringly bonkers video for ‘Spit It Out’ up on YouTube.
It’s nice to see Laurie and Isaac’s spirits haven’t been dampened during the recording of their second album ‘Take Control‘; why would they when the opportunity to work with Beastie Boys hero Mike D presented itself – “we can safely call him our friend, which is just surreal,” Laurie Vincent has said.
“There are a few things that got me excited about working with Slaves,” Mike D himself has said of the duo. “First, a friend had sent me ‘Are You Satisfied?’. I feel right now the world needs an album like this. Something that is more raw, more alive and less polished.”
“I was impressed with the band’s strong point of view. They actually speak their minds about social topics.”
Slaves start a long UK tour in Bexhill at the De La Warr Pavilion on November 10th after album release date of September 30th.
