The band have spoken of the real honour they feel in being asked to headline Reading/Leeds, guitarist James Johnston telling the BBC:
“To be asked before was such a huge moment in the band’s life,” he said. “I think we have probably paid our dues, we’ve played all the small stage and worked our way up.”
“It feels like there is a lot of good will from the punters that come here. We feel it is an opportunity to try and improve on what we did before, maybe we will pick up some new fans. It is one that has long been really close to our hearts.”
Biffy Clyro are at Reading today to close out that leg, while the Red Hot Chili Peppers will be doing the same in Leeds.
