Metronomy have filmed a one-take, live performance for their latest video.

Joseph Mount headed off to Charles de Gaulle airport in France for the ‘16 Beat‘ promo – as he’s detailed to Noisey. “I love one-take videos and I love aeroplanes and airports,” he said.

“I also love it when you start something with modest expectations and they are exceeded. I’ve always quite fancied doing a live music video and this was never really meant to be that, but it kind of is now.”

The track comes from Metronomy’s 2016 effort ‘Summer 08’, an album which we described as being ‘engaged in something of a game of hide and seek with its listeners’ in our review.

“Whilst wanting to take them to a different place is to be applauded, ‘Summer 08’ needed to abandon itself more to the random or be a slave to the rhythm, both opportunities for completeness it never quite manages to take,” it concluded.
