De La Soul and Snoop Dogg have been invited back to guest on the new Gorillaz album, Pos has told The Guardian.
“Collaborations come when we feel we’ve got something that would be a great match for an artist,” he said. “With Damon, it was easy because we love working with him. We’re about to be on the new Gorillaz album.”
“Snoop was also performing on the record when we were over there. He pulled us to one side and said ‘hey man, we never performed together. Can we get this going?’”
Both have previously worked with Damon Albarn on past Gorillaz records, and have been back with the Blur man after he restarted Gorillaz last summer with the intention of succeeding 2011’s ‘The Fall‘.
In a recent update given to BBC 6Music, he revealed the record should be ready ‘fairly soon‘.
