Wild Beasts should now be just about ready for the release of their next record after sharing the latest album track ‘Tough Guy‘.
“Having been through multiple softer versions, we found the sloppier and more disgusting we allowed Tough Guy to be, the more powerfully it spoke to us,” the band say.
“So we put a leather jacket on it, gave it a distortion pedal and began to flex in the mirror.”
‘Big Cat‘ and lead single ‘Get My Bang‘ have also been heard from the new album ‘Boy King‘, which is out on August 5th. “I think ‘Boy King’ is an apocalyptic record,” Hayden Thorpe comments. “It’s about swimming in the abyss. When you think about sex, you’ve got to think about death, they’re one and the same.”
Wild Beasts have shows at the London Roundhouse booked in October, part of a UK tour which also rocks up in Sheffield, Cambridge, Newcastle, Glasgow and Manchester.
