Oasis have finally confirmed the third part of their ‘Chasing The Sun’ trilogy of re-releases.

Revisiting the band’s first three studio albums – a triumvirate which briefly made them the biggest in the world – the reissues began back in 2014 with ‘Definitely Maybe‘ and ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?‘ but, unlike the hectic, 100mph nature of the original period, it’s taken until now for the 1997 album to be confirmed.

Blossoms will tour their self-titled debut album in September.

It opens on September 23rd at the Birmingham Institute in the wake of the LP’s release on on August 5th, and has enough ammunition to take it into October, when shows are booked in Glasgow, Newcastle, Sheffield, Leeds and Nottingham.

A long-lost demo recorded by Paul McCartney in 1964 has been discovered in Liverpool and will go under the auctioneer’s hammer next month.

Cilla Black took ‘It’s For You‘ to number seven in the UK charts after it was sent by the Beatle but the original demo, produced by George Martin, vanished until it was unearthed by Stephen Bailey, of the Beatles Shop in Mathew Street, Liverpool, amongst a collection of 21 demos which were in Black’s possession before her death last year.

A previously unreleased David Bowie album will be included in the ‘Who Can I Be Now? (1974-1976)‘ box-set later this year.

‘The Gouster‘ was recorded in 1974, rooted in soul and funk and a precursor to his Thin White Duke period. It eventually evolved into ‘Young Americans‘, released in 1975.

Bruce Foxton has been reflecting on the Jam reunion, of sorts, which could have happened during the About The Young Idea exhibition in London last year.

While Paul Weller remains steadfast in his aversion to any live comeback for the band, both he and Foxton were at the press day at Somerset House in London upon the launch of the exhibition in 2015, but the opportunity for a first public appearance together from all three members since their abrupt end in 1982 was thwarted by drummer Rick Buckler‘s no-show.

The Libertines played the very definition of an intimate show last week when they performed at the Boogaloo pub in north London.

It could well prove to be the final scene of the third act of the band’s career which opened with the 2014 live reunion and continued apace last year via their long awaited ‘Anthems For Doomed Youth‘ studio album.

The Beatles‘ out-of-print, ‘Live At The Hollywood Bowl‘ album will be newly released in September.

Drawn from the original three track tapes, remastered by Giles Martin and Sam Okell at Abbey Road Studios, the album documents The Beatles’ three sold-out concerts at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl in 1964 and 1965 – amongst their most enduring live appearances.

Previously unreleased tracks will be included on the latest Led Zeppelin package to emerge from the remastering sessions led by Jimmy Page.

The band’s back catalogue has been lovingly restored by their guitarist and producer, resulting in big selling new versions of classic LPs such as their self-titled debut and officially untitled fourth album.

The next Gorillaz album ‘should be ready soon’ according to Damon Albarn.

Amidst all his other various side-projects, and the first Blur album since 2003 last year, Albarn still found time to restart Gorillaz in 2014 and last summer told Australia’s ABC 7.30 that he was ready to officially begin work on the follow-up to 2011’s ‘The Fall‘.

Six UK tour dates have been arranged by Pixies after their second ‘post-reunion’ album ‘Head Carrier‘ is released on September 30th.

Currently being previewed with the familiar garage glory of ‘Um Chagga Lagga‘ and produced by Tom Dalgety at London’s Rak Studios earlier this year, the album will be treated to two nights at the Brixton Academy in London on November 28th and 29th, as well as shows in Leeds, Glasgow, Newcastle and Manchester.
