Citdael took in live music, food, workshops, fashion, sport, theatre and live performance across a hectic day last Sunday, with the aforementioned bands joined on the bill by the likes of Lianne La Havas, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats and Andrew Weatherall after its inaugural year in 2015.
Sigur Ros promised new material when they were confirmed for the festival back in November.
“This time, in addition to playing songs you know, we wanted to remember the seat-of-your-pants feeling experienced in the wake of, ‘Ágætis byrjun’, when for two years we formed and re-formed the songs that would go on to be the ‘( )’ album, live in front of people, night after night,” they said.
