Citdael encompassed live music, workshops, theatre, live performance and plenty more last Sunday, with Cat’s Eyes one of the main musical acts of the day along with Sigur Ros, Lianne La Havas and Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats.

The Horrors‘ frontman Faris Badwan and singer Rachel Zeffira were back as Cat’s Eyes last month with ‘Treasure House’, the pair’s first studio album since the 2011 self-titled debut, but more immediately the follow-up to their soundtrack for The Duke Of Burgundy – a project which Badwan told NME last summer had encouraged them to head off to pastures new.

“It was the final straw for Zeffira,” he said. “No more singing softly. It hasn’t turned into some weird opera thing, but we definitely found a good place.”
