There was finally some new music on live display from the Stone Roses as they began warming for a summer of big gigs at the Victoria Theatre in Halifax last night.

Some very brief footage of the first live performance of ‘All For One‘ is up on Twitter as the band eventually made good on their word to have new material as part of their 2011 live reunion.

‘All For One’ brought that long wait to an end last month, released as the lead track from an expected third studio album which frontman Ian Brown confirmed was being recorded in London with producer Paul Epworth.

The Stone Roses move on to another little known venue, the Carlisle Sands Centre, tonight before a monster four nights at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester next week.

They’ll be in New York City this month too for a show at Madison Square Garden, and headline T In The Park in Scotland in July.
