The Beach Boys top UK Vinyl Singles Chart with ‘God Only Knows’

Beach Boys

It’s ‘God Only Knows‘ which is sitting pretty at the top of the UK’s Vinyl Singles Chart this week as the celebrations surrounding The Beach Boys‘ ‘Pet Sounds‘ 50th anniversary continue.

There’s little else in the way of new entries as the likes of PJ Harvey, Jarvis Cocker, The Strokes and Muse hold on to places in the Top 20.

Dedicated vinyl album and singles charts were launched by the Official Charts Company last year in recognition of the continuing resurgence of the traditional format – the singles chart is compiled from sales of 7″ and 12″ records.
