Jeff Wootton has been revealed as the support for Noel Gallagher‘s final UK outing behind his second High Flying Birds album ‘Chasing Yesterday‘.

Gallagher will make his maiden solo outing at the London Brixton Academy on September 6th to end this stage of his career on the last of 121 gigs played since ‘Chasing Yesterday’ was released back in the spring of 2015.

And it’ll be a familiar face who’ll be helping him to bring the curtain down; the pair were on stage together as recently as last week playing a few songs in support of the Hoping’s Greatest Hits event.

Wootton released his debut solo album ‘The Way The Light’ earlier this year, ‘his vision and craftsmanship as an artist here are equally impressive’, according to Live4ever’s review.

“As an album ‘The Way The Light’ doesn’t really proclaim anything too concrete, but a bold statement is made: more than just a skilled hired hand, Wootton is a rare musician, fearless in his artistic choices,” it concluded.
