Josh Homme ready to start on new Queens Of The Stone Age album

Queens Of The Stone Age

Next on Josh Homme‘s to-do list is a new album for Queens Of The Stone Age.

The ever-busy Homme has been cracking on with his latest venture – Iggy Pop‘s ‘Post Pop Depression‘ LP – for a lot of this year, but has now told the Let There Be Talk podcast that he’ll be meeting with the same QOTSA line-up which worked on 2013’s ‘Like Clockwork‘ to discuss their next move.

“Yeah a Queens return is up next on my schedule,” he said. “Same line-up and we’re locked in. We’re having a meeting tomorrow about what we’re going to do.”

Homme acted as producer on ‘Post Pop Depression’ and has been out on the road too with Iggy, as has Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders.

‘Like Clockwork’ was an unqualified success for Queens Of The Stone Age; a number one in their homeland and nominated for three Grammy Awards.
