Johnny Marr has been forced to withdraw from Glasgow Summer Sessions, whose bill he would have been sharing with Richard Ashcroft, Circa Waves and headliner Noel Gallagher.

A statement on his official website blames ‘a scheduling error’ by organisers for the decision. No replacement has yet been reported for the event which is to be held at Bellahouston Park on Friday, August 26th.

“We are disappointed to announce that due to a scheduling error on behalf of the organisers Johnny Marr is no longer able to play the Noel Gallagher show at Glasgow Summer Sessions this August,” the statement reads.

“We look forward to playing more shows in Scotland in the near future.”

There’s a second night of Summer Sessions gigs on Saturday, August 27th. These are topped by Biffy Clyro and also include performances from Fall Out Boy, Wolf Alice and Cage The Elephant.
