A new Deap Vally track has been premiered in preparation for the duo’s second studio album.

Femejism’ has been set for release on September 16th as lead single ‘Smile More‘ got a first play on BBC Radio 1 yesterday.

Lindsey Troy and Julie Edwards have been working with Yeah Yeah Yeahs guitarist Nick Zinner on their second record and gave a first sample of those sessions with ‘Royal Jelly’ late last year, when they also paid a glowing tribute to their producer.

“Nick, it’s been a true honor and an epic adventure making this record with you,” they wrote on Instagram.

“Thank you for inspiring us, pushing us to be our best, and for putting up with us. Thank you for sharing your magic with us. We kind of can’t believe it’s over. We love you and will miss you.”

Deap Vally will play three headline UK dates not long before their appearance at Y Not – at the Glasgow Broadcast on July 25th, Night and Day in Manchester on the 26th and London’s Boston Music Rooms on the 28th.
