Wild Beasts will join the 2016 party on August 5th with their new album ‘Boy King‘.
First single ‘Get My Bang’ has been immediately put out today as the band gets back ‘to being pissed off’ according to Tom Fleming, who has found a new ‘creative friction’ with Hayden Thorpe. “I’m letting my inner Byron fully out,” Thorpe explains. “I thought I’d tucked him away, but he came screaming back like the Incredible Hulk.”
“I think ‘Boy King’ is an apocalyptic record. It’s about swimming in the abyss. When you think about sex, you’ve got to think about death, they’re one and the same.”
Two nights apiece at the Leeds Brudenell Social Club and Brighton’s Old Market in July start tour dates for Wild Beasts which will take them to festivals across Europe throughout the summer and back to the UK in October.
