New Stone Roses single could be imminent as lemon posters reappear in Manchester

Stone Roses

It’s the return of the lemons.

Remember last year, when the pesky things began popping up all around Manchester, setting Stone Roses fans into a frenzy in the process?

Well they’re back. And this time it might just finally mean new music from the band which reunited back in 2011 is around the corner.

Rumours suggested the lemon posters of November 2015 could be the precursor to a long awaited follow-up to 1994’s ‘Second Coming‘, but ‘only’ a new run of live dates emerged which will include four nights at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester next month.

However, new material might be heard there afterall. With frontman Ian Brown confirming to NME in March that they are hard at work in the studio on ‘glorious’ music, bass player Mani apparently told a fan more recently to expect a new single as early as this week.

With all this in mind, and the posters now back up, the Third Coming seems to be here.
