The Strokes, The Cure, Courtney Barnett, Jake Bugg and The 1975 will be playing Splendour In The Grass.

You’ll find James Blake, Flume, Jack Garratt, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Santigold, Spring King, Band Of Horses, The Kills, Fat White Family and plenty more on the line-up for the event which is held in New South Wales, Australia between July 22nd-24th.

The Strokes are thought to be working on new material and were pictured in the studio right at the end of last year during a stay at Mexico’s Live Out Monterrey Festival.

Frontman Julian Casablancas told NME much earlier that he would be open to recording with the band again if ‘the vibe is right’.

“I think you have good work chemistry if you are just honest with each other and you just wanna do something good, and you just wanna put in all your magic, and create something cool with other people’s magic, with friends,” he said.

“I think ‘the vibe’ in the recent past was lost, but I think we learned how to work together better. More professionally. But now I think we’re looking to combine those things.”
