Portishead have shared some new music in the form of a cover of ABBA‘s ‘SOS‘.

Classic pop becomes unmistakably Portishead on the cover, which is part of the soundtrack for the new film High-Rise, starring Tom Hiddleston.

Portishead headlined Latitude last year with Noel Gallagher and Alt-J, and re-released their classic debut album ‘Dummy‘ on its 20th anniversary in 2014, but news of a brand new album is still pending after an update given to the Quietus by Adrian Utley during a Q&A session at the By:Larm Festival in Oslo at the start of 2014.

“We’re clearing our schedules so we can get on with it, otherwise it will be another ten years,” he said, adding that he and the equally busy Geoff Barrow are, ‘Both really enthusiastic, and enthusiasm counts for a lot in Portishead world’.

Portishead returned after an eleven-year break to release their third studio album ‘Third‘ in 2008.
