Fleet Foxes ‘unofficially ready for comeback’

Guitarist Christian Wargo has insisted Fleet Foxes will return from a five year break and frontman Robin Pecknold‘s current solo enterprise.

There’s not been much from Fleet Foxes since the release of their delightful second LP ‘Helplessness Blues‘ as Pecknold initially took a break to resume college studies and then reemerged at the end of last year with solo material and a tour supporting Joanna Newsom.

However, in an interview with Distinct, Wargo has said the band are discussing a return, and while nothing is official at this point he isn’t expecting a change of heart.

“It’s not like, announced or anything, and none of us really knew it was coming, but it’s happening,” he explained. “Possibly unofficially at this stage, but it’s definitely a thing.”

‘Helplessness Blues’ was considered by most publications to be one of the best releases of 2011, and features Joshua Tillman who is currently building his own significant reputation as Father John Misty.
