Robin Pecknold has shared a woozy instrumental solo track which was recorded for his brother Sean’s A Study In Time Travel.

Swimming‘ features Neal Morgan on percussion and was engineered by Gabe Wax, and is another piece of Pecknold’s solo career which began earlier this year when more new material was played during a US and European tour in support of Joanna Newsom.

Despite the five years since ‘Helplessness Blues‘ – partly due to Pecknold resuming his college studies – and these solo pursuits, Fleet Foxes guitarist Christian Wargo did tell Distinct earlier this month that the bandmates are still in communication and indeed are ‘unofficially’ ready for a comeback.

“It’s not like, announced or anything, and none of us really knew it was coming, but it’s happening,” he explained. “Possibly unofficially at this stage, but it’s definitely a thing.”
