Noel Gallagher and Jake Bugg might have an opportunity for a quiet summer-time chat after they were both confirmed today for the 2016 Sziget Festival in Budapest.
Despite inviting Bugg on tour with him back in 2012, Gallagher subsequently spoke of disappointment after learning his younger comrade had enlisted co-writers on the ‘Jake Bugg‘ and ‘Shangri La‘ albums, leading Bugg – upon the announcement of his third LP earlier this month – to declare Gallagher’s most recent effort, ‘Chasing Yesterday‘, ‘a bit shit’.
Anyway, these two are at the event between August 10th-17th along with other new additions such as Sia, Crystal Castles and Aurora, joining the previously announced Muse, Last Shadow Puppets and more.
Jake Bugg’s new LP ‘On My One‘ is released on June 17th and sees the Nottingham man entirely taking over those songwriting duties for the first time. He has also produced the vast majority of the album, save for three tracks which were developed under the watchful eye of Jacknife Lee.
