Iggy Pop‘s new album ‘Post Pop Depression‘, worked on closely with producer Josh Homme, is streaming in full below via NPR.

“I wanted to be free,” Iggy has said of how he first came to work with Homme. “To be free, I needed to forget. To forget, I needed music. Josh had that in him, so I set out to provoke an encounter-first with a carefully worded text, followed by a deluge of writings all about me.”

“No composer wants to write about nothing. He got revved up and we had a great big rumble in the desert USA.”

The record is released on March 18th and has also encompassed collaborations with Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders and Josh Homme’s Queens Of The Stone Age colleague  Dean Fertita.

They’ll be in the UK this May for a show at the Royal Albert Hall in London as part of a wider European tour.
