Johnny Lloyd will release his solo EP ‘Dreamland’ on May 13th through Xtra Mile Recordings.

Lead track ‘Hello Death‘ was produced by Jamie T at his studio in Hoxton, and is described by the former Tribes frontman as being about ‘saying goodbye’.

“I wrote it during a transition in my life,” he says. “Saying goodbye to old faces and ways. It was the end of one time and the start of another.”

Lloyd first began work on these solo tracks a year ago, initially with Jamie T back in March 2015. He subsequently spent the summer producing tracks with Hugo White of The Maccabees at the band’s long-term base in Elephant & Castle when new versions of ‘Happy Humans‘ and ‘Pilgrims‘ were produced from early 8-track demos. The final track of the EP, ‘Dreamland‘, was also laid down at the same time.

‘Dreamland’ tracklist:

‘Pilgrims’
‘Happy Humans’
‘Hello Death’
‘Dreamland’
