Trevor Powers calls time on Youth Lagoon

Youth Lagoon

Trevor Powers is bringing his Youth Lagoon moniker to an end.

The announcement was made on Twitter after a run of three studio albums between 2011-2015 which took in ‘The Year Of Hibernation‘, ‘Wondrous Bughouse‘ and ‘Savage Hills Ballroom‘.

“I am bringing down the curtains, brothers and sisters,” Powers said on Twitter. “There is nothing left to say through Youth Lagoon. It will exist no more.”

“I’ve reached the top of a mountain, only to then be able to see a much larger one I want to ascend. It’s odd to realize that something you’ve created can have the power of wrapping a leash around your neck & holding you hostage.”

“There is so much left to say, but it will not be through Youth Lagoon. This is far from the end of my undertakings/it is the beginning.”

It all means the UK and Ireland tour which starts tomorrow in Leeds has just become a farewell one. Say goodbye on these dates:
