The Horrors‘ Faris Badwan and Rachel Zeffira confirm new Cat’s Eyes LP

The Horrors‘ frontman Faris Badwan will return with singer Rachel Zeffira as Cat’s Eyes on June 3rd.

On that date, the pair release ‘Treasure House’ – it’s the first studio album since the 2011 self-titled debut, but more immediately follows their work on the soundtrack for The Duke Of Burgundy, which Badwan told NME last summer signalled a change in sonic direction.

“It was the final straw for Zeffira,” he said. “No more singing softly. It hasn’t turned into some weird opera thing, but we definitely found a good place.”

Away from Cat’s Eyes, Badwan was last active with The Horrors in 2014 with ‘Luminous‘. The band were most recently reported to be working on new material with producer Paul Epworth.
