Liverpool-based band The Little Flames, which launched the career of Miles Kane, will re-release their ‘lost’ debut album later this week.

The Day Is Not Today‘ is out on Friday (March 4th) as part of a series of reissues from the superb Deltasonic label, and will also be available as a limited edition coloured vinyl for Record Store Day 2016.

“I’m excited to finally be able to drop the needle in this particular groove,” Miles Kane says. “I had a lot of good times with The Flames and I have very fond memories of making this record.”

“Every time I listen to these songs I think of Alan Wills and I’m forever grateful for the opportunity he and Joe Fearon gave me. I’m delighted that everyone is able to now hear what we collectively created.”

‘The Day Is Not Today’ was recorded with producer Tore Johansson in Sweden but never secured a release date due to the band’s split after mastering sessions in 2007.
