The trans-continental affair ‘The Hope Six Demolition Project‘ has been confirmed as PJ Harvey‘s new album, out on April 15th.

Drawing inspiration from journeys to Kosovo, Afghanistan and Washington D.C. To  during the four years since her all conquering ‘Let England Shake‘, Harvey says of the record: “When I’m writing a song I visualise the entire scene. I can see the colours, I can tell the time of day, I can sense the mood, I can see the light changing, the shadows moving, everything in that picture.”

Florence & The Machine and Bloc Party are just two of the acts who’ll be down-scaling their usual live expectations in aid of War Child next month.

Marking the immediate run up to this year’s Brit Awards ceremony, Frank Turner, Professor Green, Jamie xx, Above & Beyond and Lianne La Havas will also be playing intimate venues around London during an eleven-day period – a £4.50 charity donation will put you in with a chance of joining in the fun.

Radiohead, LCD Soundsystem and PJ Harvey will lead this year’s Primavera Sound festival in Barcelona between June 2nd-4th.

Radiohead’s booking informs their live return ahead of an expected new album release any time now, and they’ll also be playing Switzerland’s OpenAir St. Gallen and Portugal’s NOS Alive this summer.

T In The Park could still be prevented from going ahead this year after the significant problems suffered in 2015 upon its move to a new home at Strathallan Estate, reports The Scotsman.

During that weekend in July, fans complained of a logistical nightmare in and around the location which many claimed went as far as presenting a significant danger to the safety of festival-goers.

The Last Shadow Puppets have confirmed their second album ‘Everything You’ve Come To Expect’ will be released on Friday, April 1st.

The follow-up to the 2008 Mercury-nominated debut album ‘The Age Of The Understatement‘ sees Alex Turner and Miles Kane linking up once again with producer James Ford, Owen Pallett and Zachary Dawes of Mini Mansions on bass at Shangri La Studio in Malibu.

Foals and Savages are amongst the bands who will join Primal Scream at next month’s BBC 6Music Festival.

Having led the first names late last year along with Roni Size, BEAK and Tricky, Primal Scream now have some serious competition at the event which is due to take place across Bristol between February 12th-14th.

Black Sabbath are releasing some new music afterall – but you’ll only be able to get your hands on the eight-track mini album at one of the band’s farewell gigs this year.

Last October, Ozzy Osbourne was telling Nola.com that they had ‘opted out’ of recording a final studio album, but it turns out there are some new songs left over from past sessions which can be released instead.

Milburn, the band borne out of the same primordial Sheffield soup which also produced the likes of the Arctic Monkeys and Reverend & The Makers, have rubber-stamped their return with news of two hometown gigs.

The eight years since their split haven’t dampened interest in Joe Carnall, Louis Carnall, Tom Rowley and Joe Green, and they’ll thus be back on April 29th and 30th with shows at the O2 Academy in Sheffield.

The UK leg of Record Store Day has announced a new partnership with the BBC.

Ahead of the ninth annual bash in April, the BBC has signed up to provide pre-event coverage courtesy of DJ Steve Lamacq, whose radio station BBC 6Music is to exclusively reveal this year’s product list. More ‘special coverage’ is also planned across the network.
