Girl Band cancel more UK, European shows

Having cancelled tour dates towards the end of last year citing ‘health issues’, Girl Band‘s hopes of a return to the road later this month have been dashed for the same reason.

As before, the band have avoided any specific details in cancelling dates which would have taken them around Europe and the UK up to mid-March.

“We are extremely sorry to announce that due to health issues we have to pull all upcoming shows in January, February and March,” a statement reads.

“Really appreciate people’s patience with this and whilst we’re unable to tour at present, we hope to perform some shows throughout the year. Refunds on tickets available at point of purchase.”

Girl Band released their irrepressible, idiosyncratic debut album ‘Holding Hands With Jamie‘ last year. It played a leading role in Live4ever’s Best Of…2015 look-back after our review concluded:

“They don’t quite fit into grunge, punk, goth or rock. And neither do they seem to appreciate being labelled (the Nirvana comparison irking most). Nor should they have to be given an identity. But we’ll go on trying to and ‘Holding Hands With Jamie’ is possibly as new and fresh a noise as there is today. Girl Band: please carry on being intractable.”
