Adele back to number one on UK Record Store Chart

Record Store Chart

After being removed by the posthumous Elvis Presley album ‘If I Can Dream‘ last week, Adele is back at number one on the UK Record Store Chart with ‘25‘.

It’s the second consecutive week of 2016 to not have any new entries inside the Top 20, though Motorhead‘s ‘Best Of‘ collection comes out of nowhere to chart at #11 after the sad death of frontman Lemmy last month, and there’s Top 20 re-entries too for Michael Jackson, Father John Misty, The Stone Roses, Julia Holter, Courtney Barnett, Neil Diamond and Kendrick Lamar.

Launched in conjunction with the Record Store Day celebrations of 2012, the UK Record Store Chart aims to support Britain’s independent music shops and is compiled entirely from sales registered at 100 of those leading outlets.
