There’ll be a celebration of 40 years of punk at the 2016 Isle Of Wight Festival, with Iggy Pop, The Damned and Buzzcocks all invited to the party.

Adam Ant, The Godfathers and The Sex Pissed Dolls are also new on the bill today, joining headliners Queen, Stereophonics and Faithless at the event which takes place between June 9th-12th.

“I love playing the Isle Of Wight Festival,” Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones said when his band was confirmed to headline. “I got to steer the boat over last time. Captain of the ship and honked the horn! Only the captain gets to honk the horn. This will be our third time at the festival…I’ll leave my white suit at home this time though!”

“We cant wait to return to play such an iconic festival for the second time,” Faithless added. “We were proud to be part of its relaunch in 2005 and it’s an absolute pleasure to be invited back.”
