Fleet Foxes frontman Robin Pecknold has promised ‘an all-new solo set’ when he emerges out of a long break from music to support Joanna Newsom on her European and US tour dates next year.

“Very excited / honored to say that I’ll be opening some dates for Joanna Newsom early next year, playing an all-new solo set,” Pecknold wrote on Facebook.

“I’ll be on both the European and the West Coast legs of her tour, in late winter / early spring. Hope to see some of you guys out there!”

Pecknold has partaken in just the occasional live appearance since Fleet Foxes quietly wound down for an indefinite time following 2011’s ‘Helplessness Blues‘, concentrating primarily on college studies.
