The National‘s Matt Berninger and Menomena’s Brent Knopf have released another video under their joint El Vy venture.
The album ‘Return To The Moon‘ came out in October, and now ‘No Time To Crank The Sun‘ has joined a number of other select cuts from the record.
“This record is more autobiographical than anything else I’ve written, but the details aren’t true,” Berninger has previously said.
“It’s written in the voices of a few invented characters, composites of different people – myself, my wife, and other people I was thinking about.”
“I never worried about sending Matt something unfinished,” Knopf added. “He’s able to imagine where it can go. He can grab the four bars that will become the core of the track and develop them into something amazing.”
Berninger and Knopf will visit the UK and Ireland next month, playing shows in December at the London Electric Ballroom (10th), Manchester Gorilla (12th) and Dublin Whelans (13th).
