Noel Gallagher will spend December 7th with Radio 2, culminating with a live performance at the BBC Radio Theatre in London as part of the station’s In Concert series.

“We’ve persuaded a fantastic range of world class musicians to our In Concert stage over the years and it’s great to have Noel Gallagher join us again with some unique interpretations of his songs,” BBC Radio 2’s head of music Jeff Smith comments.

Gallagher will begin the day with a live soundcheck on Ken Bruce’s show, followed by an interview in the afternoon with Simon Mayo. The gig, hosted by Jo Whiley, is to then air live on Radio 2, its website and on television via the BBC’s Red Button service from 8pm.

The show is part of a handful of low-key live appearances Gallagher plans to undertake before the end of 2015, closing out a year which saw him release second solo album ‘Chasing Yesterday‘.

More world tour dates off the back of that record, including trips around South America and the UK, are then due for 2016.
