2016 Brit Awards trophy design revealed

Brits Trophy

The latest Brit Awards trophy, this time designed by Pam Hogg, has been unveiled (above) ahead of the 2016 ceremony.

“An artist’s true reward is that her/his work resonates and connects,” Hogg says. “Given a chance, the unseen unheard and unsung may also one day touch and unlock a waiting heart.”

After it was first given a revamp in 2011 by Vivienne Westwood, artists including Sir Peter Blake, Damien Hirst and Tracey Emin have designed their own versions of the statue.

“Having designed for some of the world’s greatest music artists, it’s absolutely fitting that Pam is bringing her unique vision to The BRITs trophy,” Brits chairman Max Lousada adds.

“The fact that each statue will be a unique, bespoke piece mirrors her status as a truly singular talent and we are delighted to be working with her.”

Ant & Dec are due to return as hosts for the Brits when the 2016 ceremony is held on February 24th at the O2 Arena in London.
