Gigs at the Hollywood Bowl, Chicago’s UIC Pavilion and Madison Square Garden are the first of a 25-date North American tour to be confirmed by The Cure.

Those shows take place on May 22nd, June 10th and June 18th respectively next year, and the complete itinerary is to be confirmed in January.

Support will be provided by The Twilight Sad, this after Robert Smith breathed new life into the band’s 2014 album ‘Nobody Wants To Be Here and Nobody Wants To Leave’ by covering ‘There’s a Girl In The Corner‘.

“The record itself has similar themes to all our records – like love, loss, relationships, the way we treat other, depression, the want to be a better person and sometimes failing,” Twilight Sad frontman James Graham told Live4ever of the album.

“Lyrically it has all those themes in the record, but it has been approached in a different way as I’m a different person now, as in that I’m two years older than the person who wrote our last album, all be it none the wiser.”
