Cage The Elephant will release their fourth album ‘Tell Me I’m Pretty‘ on December 18th.
Produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys (and more recently The Arcs) and mixed by Tom Elmhirst, in a bid to capture the buzz of a live show most of the album was recorded in one take at Easy Eye Sound in Nashville, Tennessee, not far from the group’s home-base of Bowling Green in Kentucky.
“With this record, we wanted to be more transparent,” said lead singer Matt Shultz. “We wanted to capture the sentiment of each song, and whatever emotional response it provoked, to be really honest to that.”
It’s the band’s first release on Columia Records, and will come with various bonus goodies to those who pre-order via PledgeMusic.
‘Tell Me I’m Pretty’ follows the 2013 Grammy nominated ‘Melophobia‘.
