Animal Collective are officially revisiting a full gig for the first time on their ‘Live At 9:30‘ album, and have now shared ‘Did You See the Words‘ which can be heard below.
After 2002’s ‘Hollinndagain‘ – a compilation of live recordings from 2001 – this new live album presents Animal Collective performing at the titular Washington DC venue on June 12th 2013, containing highlights such as ‘My Girls‘, ‘What Would I Want? Sky‘, and ‘The Purple Bottle‘. It’s available now both digitally and as a limited edition LP boxset.
“Growing up in Baltimore, we’ve been seeing shows at 9:30 for over 20 years, back to when the building was called WUST,” Geologist explains. “First time was Pavement in 1994. Always one of our favorite places to see shows, and always one of the most fun places to play a show. Unless the power goes out.”
