Squeeze will release a new album in October primed with songs which are due to help soundtrack an upcoming TV comedy series based on the first installment of Danny Baker’s autobiography.
The album is entitled ‘Cradle To The Grave‘ (the TV series distinguishes itself by dropping the definite article) and is to be released on October 2nd. It was recorded at the 45 RPM Studios in Charlton.
“When I read the book, I got in contact with Danny and said that I thought we could do something together with his book,” Glenn Tilbrook explains. “Danny was already talking with Jeff Pope about a TV series and the mood and sentiment of Cradle were completely in sync. Danny and Jeff both loved it and everything else followed on from there.”
The single ‘Happy Days’ can be heard here and is available right now to those who pre-order the album.
