Dave Gilmour‘s cover of The Beatles‘ ‘Revolver‘ classic ‘Here, There and Everywhere‘ has been uploaded to YouTube and can be heard below.
Gilmour releases his new solo album ‘Rattle That Lock‘ on September 18th, but this track has been recorded with friends for this month’s Mojo magazine.
The legendary guitarist’s follow-up to 2006’s ‘On An Island‘ is to be supported with a European tour which includes a five-night run at London’s Royal Albert Hall between September 23rd-October 3rd. The tour opens in Croatia on September 12th and also visits Italy, France and Germany.
Meanwhile, and after returning to the 1994 ‘Division Bell‘ sessions for last year’s ‘An Endless River‘ album, Gilmour has recently signalled the end of Pink Floyd, telling Classic Rock magazine:
“Obviously I accept there are people who want to go and see and hear this legend that was Pink Floyd, but I’m afraid that’s not my responsibility.”
“It’s just a pop group. I don’t need it. I don’t need to go there. I’m not being coy or difficult – I just think that at my age I should do whatever I really want to do in life.”
