The Libertines reveal new album ‘Anthems For Doomed Youth’

What seemed like the unlikeliest of stories barely 12 months ago has officially come to fruition today with the news that The Libertines will release their third studio album via Harvest on September 4th.

Anthems For Doomed Youth‘ is the long awaited successor to the band’s 2004 self-titled LP, a record which both told the story of, and proved to be the final chapter of, The Libertines’ messy demise a decade ago.




The album contains tracks played live during the surprise Glastonbury appearance last weekend, and is due just over a year on from their second live return at the 2014 British Summer Time Festival.

It was recorded in Thailand and has a deluxe edition which features four additional tracks –  ‘Love On The Dole‘, ‘Bucket Shop‘, ‘Lust Of The Libertines‘ and ‘Seven Deadly Sins‘.
